Summary
Resona: Water Eject ("the App") is an iPhone and iPad app published by Central Park Limited ("we", "us") that clears water from speakers, generates tones, measures sound levels, tests speakers and monitors room noise while you sleep. All audio is processed and stored on your device. We run no servers of our own and never receive your recordings. The App shows ads to users without a subscription and measures how the App is used; both come from Google and collect data of their own — the sections below explain exactly what. No audio ever leaves your device.
Audio and the Microphone
The App asks for microphone access for two features: the sound level (dB) meter and the overnight sleep monitor. Both run entirely on your device.
- dB meter: audio is analysed live to show a level in decibels and the dominant frequency. Nothing is written to disk and nothing is transmitted.
- Sleep monitor: when you explicitly start a night, the App logs a noise level for each minute. If "Record sound events" is on, it also saves short audio clips of louder events such as snoring, talking or coughing, and labels them on your device using Apple's SoundAnalysis framework.
Recording never starts on its own. It begins only after you tap to start a night while the App is open, and the orange microphone indicator stays visible while it runs. Clips are stored in the App's private storage with iOS file protection, are excluded from device backups, and are deleted automatically after 30 days. Noise levels and nightly averages are kept for 90 days.
You can delete a single clip, every clip from one night, or all recordings at once in Settings. Deleting the App removes all of it. Because nothing is uploaded, we hold no copy to delete.
Camera and Photos
The dB meter can take a photo stamped with the current reading. The camera is used only while that screen is open, and the photo is saved to your own photo library with add-only permission. We never see it.
Information We Collect
The App has no accounts and no sign-in. We never receive your name, email address, contacts, precise location or any audio. What we do receive is aggregated usage statistics through Google Analytics, described in the next section.
Three third-party services in the App process data, and only in the ways described below.
Usage Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used — which tools people open, whether a cycle finished, how a purchase screen performed. It reports events such as "a cleaning cycle started" or "the sleep monitor ran for about six hours", together with a device advertising identifier, an app instance identifier, coarse location derived from your IP address, and device and app version information.
It never receives audio. No recording, no sound clip, no microphone data and no photo is sent to Google Analytics or to us. Sleep results are reported only as coarse ranges — for example "3–6 hours" and "6–20 sound events" — never as exact values, timestamps or clip contents.
Analytics runs under the same consent choice as advertising. Until you answer, all analytics and advertising signals start as denied, and in regions where we must ask, nothing is collected unless you agree. You can change your choice at any time through "Privacy choices" in the App's Settings, and through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Google acts as a processor for this data under Firebase's privacy documentation. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Users without a Premium subscription see a banner ad supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may process a device advertising identifier, coarse location derived from your IP address, ad interactions and diagnostic information. Google acts as an independent controller of that data under its own privacy policy.
Before any ad is requested we ask for consent through Google's User Messaging Platform, and on iOS we also show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline tracking, the advertising identifier is not used and ads are non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time: tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and your consent options through "Privacy choices" in the App's Settings.
Buying any Premium plan removes ads entirely, and no ad requests are made for subscribers.
Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)
Subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details; Apple gives us only anonymous, aggregated sales reports. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a random identifier it generates for the installation, plus purchase and receipt information from Apple. It does not receive your name, email address or any audio. When you have allowed analytics, RevenueCat also receives the app instance identifier so that subscription events appear alongside the usage statistics described above.
Data Stored on Your Device
Your settings, sleep history and sound clips live in the App's own storage on your device and are never synced to us or to iCloud. Nightly noise data is kept for 90 days and clips for 30 days, and you can delete everything sooner from Settings.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. We hold no personal data about you. For the data processed by Google or RevenueCat, please use their policies linked above, or contact us and we will point you to the right process. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not receive any payment for the data Google collects beyond ordinary advertising revenue.
Security
Recordings and sleep data are stored inside the App's sandbox, protected by iOS file-level encryption and your device passcode, and are excluded from backups. No copy exists outside your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
