Agreement
These terms govern your use of Bayan ("the App"), a Quran-learning app published by Central Park Limited. By downloading or using the App you agree to them. The App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in addition to these terms. Where these terms and Apple's standard EULA conflict on a point covered by the EULA, the EULA prevails.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
What the App Does
The App offers a daily Quran reader with translation and recitation audio, Qaida, Makharij and Tajweed lessons, memorisation with spaced repetition and Blind Recall, Tape & Compare recitation recording, a daily Amal loop with a weekly report, on-device prayer times with a Qibla compass, Focus app blocking, and Ask AI answers grounded in real tafsir. The App needs no account: your progress syncs through your own iCloud when iCloud is on.
Ask AI Answers Are Not Religious Rulings
Ask AI answers are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude API) with reference to tafsir commentary. They are AI-generated, may be wrong, and must not be treated as religious rulings (fatwa) or scholarly guidance. For any religious or legal question, consult a qualified scholar. We accept no responsibility for actions taken on the basis of an AI answer.
Premium Subscriptions
The App is free to use with limits. A Bayan Premium subscription unlocks unlimited Ask AI questions, Focus app blocking, and Tape & Compare. Three plans are offered: a weekly plan with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, a monthly plan, and a yearly plan. Plans and prices are shown in the App before purchase and are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, a free trial converts to the regular subscription price at the end of the trial. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; we cannot issue them directly. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Acceptable Use
Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with or attempt to compromise any system, or to abuse the Ask AI service (for example by circumventing question quotas).
Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that prayer times or the Qibla bearing will be exact for every location, that recitation audio or Quran content from third-party services will always be available, or that an AI answer will be correct or complete.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Central Park Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and Termination
We may update the App and these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. We may discontinue the App at any time. You may stop using it at any time by deleting it.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Central Park Limited is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without limiting any consumer rights you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
